The technology that enhances vehicle location accuracy through V2X (Vehicle to Everything) communication also made an appearance at WIS 2022. Locaila developed a vehicle location detection device called V-FINDER, equipped with eight highly sensitive antennas. The V-FINDER communicates with other vehicles using 5G signals and measures distances. It assists in collision prevention for autonomous vehicles by detecting traffic situations in challenging areas such as intersections, parking lots, and tunnels, where radar and lidar might struggle to perceive.

The MWC (Mobile World Congress) Las Vegas 2022, part of the series of MWC global events, is a premier exhibition for the mobile technology and telecommunications industry. The V-Finder concept model has received a lot of interest and inquiries from Verizon, T-Mobile, Charter Communications, Volvo, KT, Samsung, LG, etc. 

3GPP Standard Activity

In 2022, 3GPP initiated a standard study for the introduction of Carrier Phase Positioning into the 5G NR Positioning specifications in Release-18.

Locaila also has been actively engaging in 3GPP standard contribution activities to incorporate our advancements into the standards. Locaila's contributions to the 3GPP standards for 5G positioning could have sparked discussions on the future of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications and autonomous driving technologies.
